Los 4 del Son animate their audience with Son, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa and also Cha Cha Cha to an exuberant party mood. Of course they also master the quiet classics of Cuban music from 'Comandante Che Guevara' to 'Guantanamera'. They play their own compositions and are true masters of improvisation, picking up on moods and suggestions from the audience to incorporate into their playing. Because of the musical variety and quality, the concerts are a great success with the audience. They bring Cuban joie de vivre to every stage. A highlight at their performances is bandleader Humberto Leyva Lopez and his "guitara tres", a special guitar made only in Cuba. What makes it special: He plays the guitar behind his back!
As the house band of probably the most famous Cuban bar "La Bodeguita del Medio" in Havana, Los 4 del Son are one of the best-known Son/ Salsa groups in Cuba. They have been touring Germany for 15 years. The group has been playing regularly for 7 years in Wiesbaden at the Weinfest and Stadtfest, and in Frankfurt at the Opernplatzfest. They performed at the press festival of Prime Minister Beck in Mainz and gave several concerts at the Frankfurter Hof, the Zitadelle in Mainz and the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden.
