France in the 17th century. D'Artagnan, a young Gascon, sets off for Paris, intending to become a musketeer in the king's guard and thus follow in his father's footsteps. As soon as he arrives, he gets into conflicts with the three musketeers Aramis, Athos and Porthos. But suddenly they have to defend themselves against the Cardinal Richelieu's henchmen. They become friends. An adventure story of power, intrigue and passion begins.
The musical by Rob and Ferdi Bolland based on the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas impresses with powerful rock-pop music and soulful ballads, gripping scenes, spectacular fencing fights and also a large portion of humor.
The Bolland brothers made a splash in the 1980s with compositions for singer Falco, penning the songs "Jeanny" and "Rock me Amadeus". The musical was commissioned by Stage Entertainment Producties.
