The Trouble Notes already paid their respects in Frankfurt at the finale of the Sommerwerft at the beginning of August 2017 and thrilled the audience in the big circus tent on the banks of the Main. Now the multinational trio, based in Berlin and formed between New York and London, with Bennet Cerven (violin, vocals), Florian Eisenschmidt (guitar) and Oliver Maguire (percussion), comes to the Brotfabrik to finally present the CD "Lose Your Ties" after the two EP releases "Grand Masquerade" and "Soundtracks From The Street" (there is a lot of their self-image in this title). The leitmotif of the album is their story - they willingly gave up a secure home and steady job to follow their dream of traveling, discovering new cultures (especially their musical ones), and expanding their musical horizons. While the relevance of their dream continues, "Lose Your Ties" is a universal call to society. The title song describes the search for the meaning of life, but at the same time also the recognition of the hurdles they have to overcome to realize their dream.
With Brit Tarq Bowen, who relocated from London to Taunus three years ago, The Trouble Notes meet an old friend. Their paths already crossed in 2013 in the London district of Camden. They are united by their passion for music as well as the idea of forging their career "alternatively". Bowen, the soul man who has the blues and presents himself as a free spirit like Jeff Buckley once did, has played over 1000 shows in the meantime - solo and in various band line-ups. For a SkyTV show last year, Bowen collaborated with producer legend Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T.Rex), Nitin Sawhney, Imelda May, Bon Geldorf and Stewart Copeland (The Police). And he has found a celebrity supporter in Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.
