The guys with the unique style and the unmistakable voice of singer Paul Sheridan bring the spirit of Scotland to the world with their infectious dynamic style! Punk, rock, folk and even rock'n roll - it's best not to pigeonhole THE WAKES, because no label really does justice to the sextet from the heart of Glasgow. A classification is difficult anyway, because the six surprise critics and fans alike with each new work with an almost endless range of ideas and new motifs.
RUDIES WITH ATTITUDE:
Rudies with Attitude from Marburg, Germany, is an acoustic working class punk band formed in the fall of 2015 by Marco and Sören. The "Rudys" are 3 normal guys who mash to work every day. In short, it sounds like Billy Bragg, Bob Marley and the Sex Pistols jamming around a campfire. The working class pretensions of the traditional anti-racist skinhead scene are taken quite seriously by the three from central Hesse.
