"Juwelier Friedrich" - a brand name, a legend, a synonym for glamour and beauty - and a place where stories flourish. Stephan Friedrich, who together with his brother took over the business of their father and company founder Karl Friedrich, turned the flagship store in Frankfurt's Goethestraße into a world-renowned address famous for its creativity and respectability, a house that has made jewellery history.
Today Stephan Friedrich has retired and remembers encounters with Barbara Streisand and Haile Selassie, the deceitful Baron von Jessingen and the kidnapping of his brother, a very special diver's watch and a love-struck gallant with an exciting companion.
Friedrich's extraordinarily good-humoured, witty and sparkling stories could have been written in his studio. They themselves are diamonds of considerable value.
