Theodor Shitstorm was born in July 2017 in Bosnia and Serbia. Theodor's parents are singer-songwriter Desiree Klaeukens and filmmaker Dietrich Brüggemann. They have known each other for a few years, he has already discovered an actress in her, now she discovers the musician in him, and already the muse is kissing the muse. So they load a laptop, a guitar, a microphone and lots of cables into a stone-old Porsche and drive towards the Balkans, where the sun is shining and they can stay overnight with friends. But the journey comes to an abrupt end on the very first day: transmission damage in Slovakia. For a moment the whole enterprise threatens to fail. But then a car rental company is found in Vienna that doesn't ask any questions, and the journey continues in a stone-old Golf. On dusty roads and in a hot apartment in Belgrade, hymns to Rock'n'Roll and the expanded concept of art, laments about the old aunt FRG, absurd accusations, ballads for the autobahn and two-part advice for all situations in life are created in the following two weeks. In general: Man prefers to be in pairs than alone, and that's why there's nothing more beautiful than duets. But where are they in this country? Germany, where are your duos? What is there beyond Cindy & Bert, Siegfried & Roy, Modern & Talking? Why is the serious German musician so often a male individual with a university degree? And always so alone? Why are lads' bands always just lads' bands? And female bands even more so? What could be more beautiful than two different voices throwing balls to each other, shaking hands and getting into each other's words? The room Theodor enters here is huge and yawningly empty. Time to fill it with music. Stylistically, Theodor stands in a mixture of guitar and electronics and bows from there in four directions: Hamburg school, Berlin indie, idiosyncratic hip-hop, Austrian booze song.
