With the Thomas Bachmann Group you can hear everything in concentrated form that makes good jazz: swing, groove, catchy themes, sophisticated instrumental playing and improvisational flights of fancy. The three likeable musicians explore the possibilities of their instruments and create an independent band sound. On "Seiltänzer", already their fifth album, the unusual instrumentation without a harmony instrument remains a trademark of the trio. In over 15 years, the musicians have learned to use this supposed limitation to their advantage: improvisation and interaction are given more harmonic freedom, and the musicians focus on rhythm, melody and dynamics.
