Thomas Ripphahn is a singer/songwriter with tradition and history, who practiced this profession when the term had not even arrived in this country. Between 1991 and 1997, he recorded four albums with his band Hands on the Wheel and toured extensively throughout Europe.
His sound has never fit neatly into any particular pigeonhole, and to this day he is keen to remain a wanderer between worlds - somewhere between rock, blues, country and folk, between quiet poetry and gripping power, his songs have their own voice, their own identity, honed and refined by long stints in Nashville, London and Amsterdam.
