Next autumn "Three For Silver" will return to Europe. With them they have their music video for the brand new single "Get Low" and a new lineup. Get Low is an anthem for all those who have run aground, are in a one-way street or have taken a wrong turn on their way. The song is also about how the better things in life often come to you where we don't expect them. The prerequisite for that is a very solid place where you feel at home. Three for Silver possess the unique ability to generate much more sound than you would expect from an acoustic trio. The song was also recorded live, with minimal overdubbing, for this reason. A special highlight is the self-made acoustic bass of Lucas Warford. Through his special playing technique, the bandleader covers not only the low frequencies but also the percussion elements. This unique technique makes for a real explosion of sound which he performs in real time as if played in a frenzy. The music video for "Get Low" perfectly rounds out the song into a great whole. The video attempts to capture the unique energy and connection with their equally unique fans at a Three for Silver concert. It's hard to really tell who is performing and who is an audience member anymore. The roles of the musicians and the fans blur into one another. It was shot at Portland's storied Mississippi Pizza Pub, where the band first felt at home on a stage. For the current tour, the band has swapped out the fiddle for an acoustic lap steel guitar. They are backed this time by Douglas Francisco, a connoisseur and master of pre-war blues and folk. The sound of his metal Dobro will help the band to have a sharp sound, with dark tones and metallic sounding instruments. This promises to be an exciting lineup for European audiences, presenting a sound and style rarely found outside of America. Lucas Warford (vocals, bass) is the hard-hitting heart of the band, a pumping diesel engine full of bass and roar. The acid baby of Tom Waits and Les Claypool, as once described by American legend Baby Gramps. His unique bass is the foundation upon which he yowls and raps his end times vision of the world. He is a religionless preacher of fire and brimstone, deep fried in the swamps of Florida. Willo Sertain (vocals, accordion) hails from the woods of North Carolina. The product of a dark ritual that sought to combine the crystal clear song of a wine glass with a rare wildflower that only grows in darkness. Their pure tones and haunting melodies form a natural shield from Warford's madness. Greg Allison (strings, mandolin, arrangement) is the master of the pure sound that transforms Warford's and Sertain's awkward ideas into something song-like. He composes string quartet arrangements like he's writing his own name and generally makes everything a bit classier. He just showed up one day and told Warford he'd always been part of the band. No one ever questioned it. Sertain was the one who came up with the band name, but then forgot about it. She blames the name origin on a forgotten nursery rhyme that no one can find or remember.
