Sweden's best-known crime writer with murderous arithmetic
Thrillers are addictive. And worldwide, as proven by Arne Dahl's complex series about the Stockholm "A Group", which sold millions of copies in German-speaking countries alone. After the finale of the Opcop series, the Swedish author took a creative break before the furious prelude to the new investigator duo Sam Berger and Molly Blom followed in 2016 with "Seven minus One". A thriller that this time is not set on a European-international level, but focuses on a classic investigator who finds himself confronted with strands from the past that he thought had been successfully suppressed. It's never clear what's true, who's to be trusted, with a clever, almost nasty cliffhanger. With "Six Times Two," published by Piper, the wait for the sequel is over. The Swedish secret service is getting to Berger and Blom, traces of an old case, which only the murderer or confidants can know, tighten the question of trust visibly. The new case and its author are investigated by hr2-kultur editor and self-confessed crime fiction fan Alf Mentzer. Actress Anna Böger gives Berger and Blom a voice.
