There are incredibly stupid ways to die. When you're an astronaut in space and you accidentally rip your helmet off your head. When you go swimming in a piranha tank. Or when you stand too close to the edge of a train platform and an incoming train sweeps you to your death. With a wonderfully cute and funny video, the Australian transport company "Metro Trains" from Melbourne drew attention to this danger, and the accompanying video with the song "Dumb Ways To Die" became an unparalleled viral hit. It was sung (which hardly anyone noticed) by the Australian singer Emily Lubitz from the band Tinpan Orange. Together with her brother Jesse and violinist Alex Burkoy, Lubitz conjures up highly enjoyable indie pop. Sixties pop, beautiful harmonies and folk elements make up their tunes. It's always great fun.
