For almost 20 years, Chico Trujillo, one of Chile's best-known bands, have been leading the big wave of Nuevo Cumbia Chilea, filling entire stadiums in their homeland in no time. Their mix of traditional cumbia, a circle dance originally from Africa, and rock, punk, ska and reggae elements soon sends the rhythm into the legs of even the laziest of dance muffleheads.
With this fiesta, they have meanwhile gained a loyal audience even beyond the borders of their homeland. Their performances at big festivals like Lollapalooza, Roskilde, Paleo or Esperanzah are legendary and also in Europe they fill the clubs of the capitals by now. In a good mood, the eleven-piece orchestra provides plenty of excitement live on stage. Characterized by three blaring brass players, their exuberant joy of playing and sense of indomitable lust for life is infectious!
