Ursula Bachmann (CH) (p,c,comp), Tobias Pfister (CH) (sax), Phelan Burgoyne (GB) (dr): Full of longing, the music roams and seeks its way into a world of wonder. The compositions of the Zurich pianist and singer are full of refined poetry and nuanced harmonies. In her project Bewildered Hearts she presents the Zurich saxophonist Tobias Pfister and the British drummer Phelan Burgoyne. In chamber-musical familiarity, the three musicians liberate the song and push forward into new dimensions through multifaceted improvisation. In it, Ursula Bachmann's subtle voice rises above the textures of the three instruments, setting independent accents. Sometimes she shows herself vulnerable, then again in mild strength. Bewildered Hearts describes the moments that amaze the heart.
