Vincent Peirani is a jazzman. World music, classical, chanson or pop come just as easily to him. But anyone who listens to his new album will recognize: Peirani has turned the accordion into a veritable rock'n'roll instrument.
In early 2015, the four-time ECHO Jazz winner released his first work with a new quintet: "Living Being" was both the title of the album and the name of the band. The members: Emile Parisien (sax), Tony Paeleman (key), Julien Herné (eb, g), Yoann Serra (dr). On the follow-up "Night Walker", the perfectly rehearsed quintet shines with furious Led Zeppelin covers and a sound that is unparalleled across genres. The melancholy of chanson, the grandeur of classical music, the sheer power of rock - the accordionist and composer unites them through his virtuosity.
