W-Festival 2021

Welcome back, W-Festival!

The W Festival took a pandemic hiatus in 2020 and returns in 2021 with concentrated Female Power!
Starting at the end of August, Frankfurt will be the venue of a concert program for three days, which puts a special focus on different facets of female creativity. In addition to the French band project Nouvelle Vague - fronted by Mélanie Pain and Phoebe Killdeer - the Swiss songwriter Sophie Hunger and the Georgian-British singer Katie Melua will be performing live at the Alte Oper, which has pandemic seating.

For the first time, the W-Festival-Conference Frau x Macht x Zukunft! will also take place in 2021 with speakers such as Dunja Hayali, Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Lina Burghausen, Dorothee Bär, Martina Gedeck, Dr. Suzanna Randall and many more strong women. In addition, Anke Engelke & Iris Berben will bring her programme "Komisch!" to the Alte Oper on 03.09.2021.
