There has never been so much of the present at the "dramatischkleinenbühne": With Marisa Leißner's "Wannabe", the ambitious ensemble from Groß-Gerau ventures the leap into the contemporary for the first time. I would like to be, I would like to be - in "Wannabe" it is about dreams, lofty plans and the longing for a different existence. Premiere of their new play celebrates the group around director Mario Ederberg on Saturday, November 2, at 8 pm in the Gross-Gerau Kulturcafé (Darmstädter Straße 31). Since the founding of the stage in 2004, "Wannabe" is already the eleventh production. In addition to great classics such as Goethe's "Faust I", Büchner's "Woyzeck" or Schiller's "Maria Stuart", the repertoire also includes smaller chamber plays - as is the case now with "Wannabe". The actors are confronted with the challenge of playing several roles at once. The plot centres on the naive Tessa (Cristina Spoglia), the macho Mario (Christian Reinbold), the snaky Sandy (Delia Raudszus) and the traumatised Locke (Jörg Monzheimer). They all have one thing in common: In a society trimmed for high performance and success-oriented, they can't get a leg on the ground. "We are nobodies, say it quietly", Tessa looks reality openly in the face. The enigmatic ad "Offer fame for little consideration" brings the four losers together at a job interview, and suddenly the hope of a supposedly better life reawakens desires they thought were lost. They all dream of a little fame, a little fortune, and even involuntarily participate in a television show - but what will be left in the end?
