Galerie Klaus Benden is delighted to be making a guest appearance in Frankfurt from 27 September 2020 - and will be showing "Warhol - Flash November" at Mühlfeld+Stohrer, one of the pop giant's most multi-layered works. The main work, a fusion of image and writing, about the Kennedy assassination in November 1963 marks a high point in Andy Warhol's oeuvre and contributed significantly to the iconization of John F. Kennedy. The exhibition, including three portraits of Jackie Kennedy, documents Warhol's artistic engagement with what was perhaps the first global media event of the 20th century and raises questions that remain relevant today: Who writes the history? Where does the truth lie? And what image of a person shapes collective memory? - On view through October 10, 2020.
