"Gucken, gucken und nochmal gucken" is the name of the new programme on road safety that police captain Eifert and his colleague Kettmann have developed and are now presenting to primary school children. They let the young audience take part in their show in a very didactic way: with passion and playfulness they whiz across the stage on their children's bicycles, sing about zebra crossings, act out dangerous situations in a Punch and Judy show and vividly demonstrate what to look out for in road traffic.
Mr Eifert in particular develops a strongly increasing, and at times embarrassing, pedagogical enthusiasm for his colleague. But he has a good reason for this. The memory of a tragic accident comes back to life and upsets the police captain and the whole program. With the help of Mrs. Kettmann and in conversation with the children, a comforting solution is finally found.
