Just in time for the tour in May the already sixth (!) studio album of the Brooklyn power pop troupe We Are Scientists, who you love unconditionally since the early two thousands, will be released. Keith Murray and Chris Cain overwhelm you on "Megaplex", the title of the work, with ten colorful and addictive new pranks, a welcome distraction in these bleak times: "In the past we've used our music to educate, to enlighten, to awaken people to the depth and complexity of moral concerns. This time, we really wanted to drop a fun-bomb. Something to dance or f*** to," Cain tells us. Well, they succeeded, "Megaplex" accomplishes just that. It's perhaps the most sky-high, carefree, melody-laden indie rock album in years - and thus, in a crude way, perhaps a possible answer to the shittiness of things out there. Love it!
