We know the small Gallic village that fiercely resists the Romans.
We also know the large American village of Springfield, where the family of Homer Simpson lives. Both villages are ultimately home to very likeable weirdos. Now a new village is added. And here live contemporaries who are far more mentally unstable. Werner Koczwara tells us the story of this village. It is a story the likes of which have not been seen since Josef Hader's brilliant cabaret narrative "Privat". Koczwara outlines a period of 60 years, going through the economic miracle and reunification to the refugee crisis of the present. And does so with a breathtaking punchline density. A cabaret-like deeply probing and at the same time immensely funny program with a slight tendency to artistic anarchy: We take the elevator down to hell, where a completely overtaxed devil awaits us, who has to fight with a horde of freshly arrived EU commissioners. We encounter death, who is burdened with severe alcohol problems. We witness probably the most indiscreet Punch and Judy show in the history of the stage. And along the way we also learn what really drives men and women mad. "Für eine Handvoll Trollinger" is performed in federally understandable Oxford Swabian. As an encore, there is regularly a language course in which disputed terms are explained. At the latest then it comes regularly to dramatic scenes in the audience. An evening with very great humor.
