The encounter between the German director Birgit Pacht and the dancer and actress Tamara Burduli from Georgia resulted in an exciting artistic exchange during a joint production in Cologne in 2016: Tamara Burduli's deep connection to her Georgian homeland gave rise to the desire to have Birgit Pacht stage an artistic realization of the themes of "escape" and "freedom" from the documentary material of her own history. The different cultural backgrounds of both women flowed into the creative process of developing the piece and thus inspired each other. Acting meets dance, dance meets performance. The idea of freedom is on the one hand a basic idea of flight, on the other hand a common concept in both national anthems and thus a supporting element of the production. The loss of home and the longing for it also provided important anchor points for the piece. Both artists are united by the desire for boundless - not only - artistic freedom.
