"White Puzzle" tells a story from the contexts of the new Global Disorder
Three narrators/narrators from three cultures, three generations have come together to think in opposites. To put a theatre on the boards with the simplest, reduced means. To explore political contexts from their own life stories. To open a space in which it is possible to speak with the dead and at the same time celebrate the festival of life.
The avalanche of history and stories was first broken down into its individual parts, into pieces of a puzzle. It is about the complex intertwining of capital, war, flight, displacement, economic crisis, financial crisis, upheaval of political systems. It is about home, identity, dealing with strangers, fear of alienation. It is about exploring connections and interrelationships. The individual puzzle pieces - consisting of memories, experiences, accounts, descriptions, reflections, feelings and visions - were then, in a process of 'group authoring' assembled into a tightly interlocked surface: The scenic narrative White Puzzle.
It is about the aesthetics of resistance and the resistance of aesthetics. White Puzzle asks the audience to enter a free space. To participate. To dance along. To push the narrative further. To break boundaries and limitations. To get moving.
