On January 27, 2019, on the day of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, the Staatstheater Darmstadt invites you to a reading of a selection of the 581 reports in the biogram collection. From 10.00 a.m. in the morning until about 10.00 p.m. in the evening, members of the ensemble and staff of the Staatstheater Darmstadt, as well as people from the city of Darmstadt, will be heard as readers, giving a critical voice as well as a face to the diversity of the population that supported the Nazi dictatorship. At 4 p.m. there will be a panel discussion on the topic of "Freedom of Expression and Dictatorship" with, among others, the author and historian Wieland Giebel.
