"Wiesbaden sings" celebrates its birthday: on Saturday, 29 September, the Wiesbaden Music- & Art School invites you to its tenth Singfest on the Dern'sche grounds. As part of the city festival, guests with and without choral experience who are enthusiastic about singing will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. under the motto "Take part, try out and sing along".
As always, a free songbook with all the titles will be handed out to the guests. The repertoire promises to be a colorful mix of folk songs, hit songs, children's songs and evergreens. The event will open traditionally with "Die Gedanken sind frei". The arc through the genres ranges from "White Roses from Athens" to "Rock my Soul" to Irish Blessing Song. Experienced female students of the Wiesbaden Music Academy provide vocal support on stage, assisted by accomplished choir members in the audience.
Wiesbaden has voted: For the first time this year, Wiesbaden residents had the opportunity to submit their own song suggestions. In the exclusive online voting, the most popular titles were decided. The hit list has now been determined: I am Sailing, Tage wie diese, Eine Insel mit zwei Bergen, Kein schöner Land in dieser Zeit, Country Roads and Am Brunnen vor dem Tore. Attendance is, of course, free.
