"Hello, this is Edgar Wallace!"
A man drowned and he was a millionaire. Was it suicide? Or was it an accident? That night it was quite foggy along the Thames. Inspector Derrick Yale of Scotland Yard is sceptical and his boss Sir John even believes in murder! And more deaths are to come... Is there a system behind it? Who is the murderer? Is it even the Magician? But he's dead, isn't he? Or is he? A lot of questions, which Inspector Yale has to answer with dodgy crooks, dubious characters and deceitful doubles. Because not everyone is who they say they are. And the fog is getting thicker and thicker.
The answers are provided by the live radio play thriller of hr2-RadioLiveTheater with music, sounds, costumes and lots of corpses.
Edgar Wallace is considered, along with Agatha Christie, the most successful and famous classic of the detective novel. Titles such as "The Magician", "The Dead Eyes of London" or "The Frog in the Mask" are world-famous and some have been filmed several times. To this day, the phrase holds true: "It is impossible not to be captivated by Edgar Wallace!"
