Once initiated as the Theatrium to mark the reopening of the renovated State Theatre, 2019 marks its 42nd year. But the more than four decades have not aged the festival at all. On the contrary - the variety of programs, the always surprising culinary offerings and the unique artisan market keep the Wilhelmstraßenfest young and lively.
The festival will open on Friday, June 14, at 4 p.m. on the stage at the Bowling Green. This is also the official starting signal for fascinating walk acts on Wilhelmstraße, the music program on the stages and the relaxed-inspiring stroll on the artisan market.
Whether down-to-earth, exotic or a little luxurious - the gastronomic variety at the Wilhelmstraßenfest is second to none. Variety is also the hallmark of the arts and crafts market. Fancy jewellery can be found here as well as porcelain art, clothing, hats and paintings, plus lots of accessories for the home four walls and the garden.
Witty walk acts on the street contribute to making just strolling along Wiesbaden's "Rue" a very special experience. The stalls at the Wilhelmstraßenfest are open from 12 to 2 on Friday and from 11 to 2 on Saturday.
