WILLIAM MCCARTHY was the songwriter and singer of Pela and of course the great Augustines. He was the driving force in both bands. Most recently, Augustines announced the end of their career. But Billy wouldn't be the writer, storyteller, mastermind, artist and full-blooded musician he is if the story ended here, quite the opposite. The Berliner-by-choice - for some time now, the New Yorker originally from California has pitched his tents, at least temporarily, in the capital - was already on the road solo last January, telling stories of his motorcycle trips around the world, showing photos and singing at the sold-out shows. In doing so, he proved that he is also a great entertainer and musician solo, with his deeply sensitive soulful, raspy and loud voice, his energetic guitar playing and his qualities as a rambunctious singer. And by the way, he had a lot to say about love, life and his life. There are a lot of plans! Now WILLIAM MCCARTHY is coming back in April on the big "Music For The People - Tour" to start a new chapter of his life.
