As opening act for Frenchwoman Irma, Wolf & Moon gave a first business card in Frankfurt at the "Summer In The City" in the Palmengarten. "Perfectly tuned in by the Dutch couple Wolf & Moon with minimalist electro-folk with rock appeal, the music fans looked forward to Irma's performance with joyful anticipation," the Frankfurter Neue Presse wrote after the concert.It was already clear beforehand that there would be a reunion with the duo in autumn. Dennis de Beurs and Stefanie Martens see themselves as modern storytelling nomads. As Berliners by choice, they are not only on tour in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but also in Great Britain, Ireland and the USA. On their debut album "Before It Gets Dark" they convince with subtle and at the same time energetic and rousing songs about wanderlust, travelling and their irrepressible thirst for adventure. The driving bass drum beat stomps, the old Gretsch semi-acoustic guitar scrapes long-forgotten memories and while soft electronic gimmicks rise, their voices unite in luminous harmonies.
With Mane, a Frankfurt duo with Mane Stelzer (vocals) and Dennis Lapp (guitar) opens the evening.
The album "Von wegen" features songs sung in English and German. What to call Mane's undogmatic style? "Authentic. Because no matter whether in waltz time, chansonesque or folky, with country flair, even blues feeling or with 'Parkbench' melancholy - Mane's song culture always gets to the point," was the comment in the Journal Frankfurt.
