Jennifer Weist, the voice of Jennifer Rostock, pulls musically bare and now as YAENNIVER for the first time without her boys through the music landscape. The unveiling of her public soul striptease is called "Naked" and is her first solo album after a decade of band association.
In music at home, Jennifer Weist regularly treats herself to a change of scenery away from band life, followed by appearances in television formats, a few detours as a jury member and the jump to presenter with her own music show. It was already clear by then that she wanted to bring her inner life out into the open with a solo project at some point. However, the way is only clear for the change of direction on her own after Jennifer Rostock takes a break for an indefinite period. After that, first of all, the last ten years in peace, sit back briefly and quite business as usual to work on their own fashion label called WYST, before Jennifer Weist now initiates her personal musical renaissance as YAENNIVER.
"Naked", food for the head, heart and senses. For this, Jennifer dug through the archives of her mind over the past few years and overcame some burdens in the midst of the pandemic. With new regulations and security measures breathing down her neck, work on the album drags on for a year, but it also makes it a few songs longer. Different is the solo sound, unexpected, but who wants to mess with expectations when it comes to self-realization? "Naked" is carried by powerful pop beats with hip-hop elements, while Jennifer's voice glides along on it so gently, as if no time had passed at all. The last album recordings for Jennifer Rostock were almost four years ago, the last tour more than three years, but the vocal time-out turns out to be a maturing time. For her voice and for Jennifer herself, who has grown as an artist and as a woman.
