Do you believe in freedom and self-determination? See the yellow lines?
A cow suddenly falls from the sky and sinks a fishing boat - the fisherman, without meaning to, is rescued by a Frontex patrol and ends up in a refugee camp. A performance artist gets herself locked in a cage and auctioned off to benefit Libya. A web designer refuses to obey the yellow security lines at the airport and is arrested. At the same time, a herd manager touts a revolutionary cow barn system that organizes factory farming in a fully automated and "humane" way, while people in Egypt fight for democracy and a pilot tells us that airplane controls were long ago taken over by computers. Seemingly unrelated events gradually coalesce into a critical look at our society, our understanding of politics and our refugee policies.
This contemporary satire explores the question of whether we accept to be increasingly harassed, monitored and patronized in our modern society, or prefer to fight the constant battle for freedom, with the inner turmoil and our own aspirations to keep everything under control.
