In their first work "Macaquinhos", which the Mousonturm showed in 2016 as part of the festival "Projeto Brasil", the artist collective examined the anus as a metaphor for the southern hemisphere in the body and gave the audience a choreographic round dance around the hole, the sphincter and the encirclement of bodies like thoughts. In their new production, the artists explore the contamination by the North as a representative of hegemonic culture and thus also of their own bodies. "What is the North in each of us?" they ask in their current dance research around strategies, privileges, memory, power, territory, gaze and colonial hangover. They invite you to look at bodies and say, Welcome to the Zoo!
