Singer and songwriter Adelmo Fornaciari, better known asZucchero, is the most successful Italian artist worldwide. More than 30 million albums sold with world hits for the ages such as "Senza una Donna", "Cosi Celeste" or "Baila" as well as a unique reputation as a blues musician, the great Ray Charles called him one of the best blues musicians in the world.
Nfollowing his appearances as exclusive headliner at the legendary Night Of The Proms Tour 2014, the singer with the character voice and familiar rough charm returns to Germany's biggest arenas in October 2016.
Zucchero has managed like few of his fellow Italian musicians to achieve great success beyond his own national borders, not least through his numerous collaborations with other greats of their genre. In a career that has already spanned more than three decades, Zucchero has played with the legendary bluesman John Lee Hooker, Sting, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, Solomon Burke, The Scorpions, Paul Young, Ray Charles or, just recently, again with the Irish rock band U2 at their performance in Turin. As if that wasn't enough, he enjoys - rightly - an excellent live reputation and his music, which spreads a lot of Italian flair, nevertheless makes it clear with almost every note that his true musical passion is the blues.
"In Blues We Trust" is thus also the credo of the Italian superstar. Blues, rock, gospel and soul are his musical home. In 2012, however, with his latest album "La Sesión Cubana" and newfound influences such as Latin, Tex Mex and Mexicali, he went one step further and fulfilled a long-held dream by recording the songs in Havana, Cuba, where he performed in front of around 100.000 people.
