Real willingness to help is (not) a fairy tale:
VDP aid for education projects in Africa and the victims of Typhoon Hainan
The proceeds of the raffle of the Ball des Wein 2013, which was themed "a fairy tale" went in favor of the Wiesbaden-based children's charity "Wine Saves Life "e.V.
The association has been supporting projects all over the world for 12 years. Currently, it finances school and education projects in Kenya/Africa, but also local projects on the doorstep, such as "Die Kunstwerker", which have made it their mission to work artistically with socially and educationally disadvantaged children.
Due to current events, part of the proceeds will also be used to benefit a children's aid project in the region affected by Typhoon Haiyan. A total of 400 attractive prizes, among them numerous events in and with the VDP predicate wineries were to be won.
