Apfelwein Weltweit - 7. Internationale Apfelweinmesse am 12. April

Apfelwein Weltweit - 7. Internationale Apfelweinmesse am 12. April

Category: More

On Sunday, April 12, it's that time again: then, for the seventh time, the cider fair will take place in Frankfurt. Until 2013, the successful fair was still called - due to its former venue - "Apfelwein im Römer". Since last year, everything has changed. Now the fair is called "Apfelwein weltweit" and is held under the motto "Apples unite the world" in the Gesellschaftshaus of the Palmengarten. But there are some changes again in 2015.

After a visit to ice cider pressmen in Quebec, Canada, in 2007, the idea of the cider fair was born by the initiators Andreas Schneider and Michael Stöckl, in 2009, the first fair finally took place in the Römer. After six years, the event has gained such a good reputation that wine presses and traders are now approaching the organizers themselves and applying to participate in the cider fair. This led to an increase in the number of exhibitors again this year after last year's record high. The new location is perfect for presenting them all clearly. In order to do justice to the internationality of the trade fair, a total of eleven nations are allowed to present their products, including Latvia and the Netherlands for the first time, but also France, Austria, Norway, Spain or Switzerland. In 2015 there will be a special focus on South Tyrol, this year's guest country at the fair.

For the first time, not only the trade visitors but also the end consumers are cordially invited to stroll along the stands, to inquire about the various ciders and, of course, to taste them and exchange ideas with other cider connoisseurs as early as 11 am. Here, too, the new event location proves to be a real stroke of luck, as it is not as convoluted as the exhibition areas in the Römer and visitors thus always have an overview of the entire trade fair events on both levels (ballroom and gallery).

Also new this year is a range of small impulse seminars. Here, five exhibitors will present their products, brands and their philosophy in more detail, which will then be concluded with a small tasting. In addition, the exhibition area will be expanded by one room. A new addition is the "Apfelwein weltweit Fressgass", which should be very interesting for visitors, especially from a culinary point of view. A new logo and a delicious sparkling apple wine, which the organizers will present at the fair, are among the new impulses, as well as a noble cherry wine from Denmark, which will be presented to a wide audience at the fair. So "cider worldwide" will again offer many good reasons for trade visitors and connoisseurs to pay the fair a visit this year.
