Das FEIN - Ein Wasserhäuschen wird zum Café

Everyone knows them, everyone has at least one lasting memory of them: the Wasserhäuschen, Büdchen, Trinkhallen or Kiosks. Whatever you call them, one thing is indisputable: the Wasserhäuschen are as much a part of Frankfurt and its surroundings as the Ginnheimer Spargel, the Zeil or the Grüne Soße. Even though more and more of the little shops have had to close in recent years, there are still numerous Büdchen of various kinds in Frankfurt and the surrounding area, some of which are being put to new use. A particularly nice example of this can be found at the green area on the way from the Nordend to the city. From the here located Trinkhalle has meanwhile become an incredibly charming Café, which has developed in a very short time to a small scene meeting place. No wonder actually, because you notice every little detail of the decoration and equipment, with how much love and heart blood the new owner goes to work here. From the seating to the presentation of small nibbles to the decoration on the tables, you can really tell everywhere that this little Café is a passion project.

You get extremely friendly service, a good selection of coffee variations and other drinks (in best Wasserhäuschen tradition there is also beer!!) and for the small hunger there are also some tasty offers. Our tip: definitely try the cheesecake, it's really damn tasty.

Although located directly on the street, you just feel comfortable here. And if you come with kids, you can enjoy your coffee while the little ones can romp on the nearby, very nicely designed playground. Therefore, our conclusion: definitely visit - not only summer!
