Already more than 50 years ago, delicious finger food was served at parties of Frankfurt's high society. Particularly popular were colourful skewers with chicken liver, which are still an insider tip at parties today. For the preparation of these "Frankfurt Tutti Frutti" skewers you need, in addition to the necessary skewers:
.- 350 grams of dried mixed fruit (half prunes and half apricots)
- 400 grams of chicken liver
- 100 grams smoked bacon
- 500 grams canned mushrooms
- 70 grams of butter
First soak the dry mixed fruit in water and slice the bacon, again cutting it in half. Now wash the liver well under water. Now take the soaked fruit out of the water and wrap it in the bacon slices. Now alternate the wrapped fruit, the mushrooms and the liver on the skewers. Season to taste with salt and pepper and then place the skewers in a pan in which you have previously heated the butter. Turn the skewers constantly so that they don't burn, until the bacon is nice and crispy. Now you can serve the frankfurter tutti-frutti to your guests - they will thank you for it!
