Frankfurter fondue

We Frankfurters are a crafty bunch. Time and again, we manage to combine our love for very specific culinary delights to create entirely new taste variations. And what does a Frankfurter love more than cheese and Äppelwoi? Exactly, and what could be more obvious than to combine these two ingredients to create a very special convivial recipe. This is how the Frankfurter Fondue was created, for which you will need the following ingredients:

Ingredients

- 1/4 liter Äppelwoi

- 500 grams of Gouda or. Fondue cheese

- 1 onion

- 25 grams of butter

- 75 grams of mushrooms

- Salt

- Pepper

- 1 dash of cherry brandy

- Baguette

Preparation:

First you need to melt the butter in a saucepan and then fry the chopped onion in it until they are translucent. Now pour in the Äppelwoi and add the finely grated cheese and the finely chopped mushrooms. Now you have to stir the whole thing vigorously until a smooth mass has formed. Now you have to refine it with salt, pepper and cherry brandy according to your own taste. The delicious Frankfurter Fondue is ready, into which you can now dip small diced pieces of baguette in the company of nice friends. And after a few glasses of Äppelwoi, it will certainly be even more fun to find out who owns which fork - the tiresome little game that actually happens sooner or later at every fondue meal!
