Frankfurter macaroons

Not only, but especially at Christmas time, macaroons are a very popular treat. To make them you will need:

Ingredients

.- 200 grams of sugar (optionally powdered sugar)

- 1 Msp cinnamon

- 4 egg whites

- Optional 200 grams of shredded coconut, ground nuts or ground almonds

Preparation:

First beat the egg whites until you get a stiff egg white whites. Now lift gradually the sugar and then the cinnamon under it and then mix just as leisurely the coconut flakes (or the ground nuts or almonds) to it. Make small heaps of this mixture (approx. 2 teaspoons per macaroon), which you place on a greased baking tray covered with baking paper. You can also place the heaps on small wafers, which further refine the taste of the macaroons. Whether with or without wafers, the macaroons must now bake at 150 degrees for about 45 minutes.
