Tent Palace at Deutsche Bank Park - 4 months of culture at the stadium

09.12.2021 | 13:27 Clock | Culture

Stefan Schornstein, managing director of S-Promotion, is happy: thanks to a strict hygiene concept, a reduction in audience capacity and a special ventilation system that ensures a constant supply of fresh air, his tent palace at Deutsche Bank Park has been granted permission to hold events without restriction - even if the Corona regulations in Hesse are tightened once again. For visitors, organizers, and artists, this provides planning security that has often been lacking in the cultural sector, especially in recent months. Who buys tickets for an event in the tent palace should not only feel safe and relaxed on site, but also be sure that the event will take place as planned.

The hygiene concept also includes a dedicated test center. As the events are currently being held under the 2G+ scheme, spectators who have not been able to get tested will still have the opportunity to do so on site, free of charge, before being admitted to the Marquee Palace. In addition, the tent itself has been redesigned in such a way that there is now double the movement space in the Zeltpalast for the current maximum of 196 people (instead of the 333 actually possible).

And so the Zeltpalast at Deutsche Bank Park can offer cultural entertainment for all ages in the coming months - from children's musicals and sports talks to comedy and magic. After the second season at the Zeltpalast planned for 2020 had to be cancelled, this time there will be cultural events on the P9 at the stadium until mid-March 2022, where there really is something for everyone.

Magical program variety

The program that the organizers have put together for this season really offers something for everyone. Children can look forward to the "Bibi Blocksberg" musical "Alles wie verhext" or the interactive dance and participatory fairy tale "Aureliana", narrated by Maddin Schneider. Comedy and cabaret fans will get their money's worth with performances by word acrobat Willy Astor, Werner Koczwara with the long-running hit "Am achten Tag schuf Gott den Rechtsanwalt" or Urban Priol with his mercilessly funny annual review "Tilt". At the press event in the Zeltpalast, Priol emphasized how much he was looking forward to his appearance in February. After all, he said, this is a crazy time right now, so there's a lot to talk about in a review of the year.

Mundstuhl are also happy to be playing at the Zeltpalast on December 11. "It's damn nice here," says Lars Niedereichholz, who, like his colleague Ande Werner, is so looking forward to finally being able to share "the pleasure of pure nonsense" with the audience again. "And then next autumn we'll be back in full swing with our new programme 'May contain traces of nuts'," promises the comedy duo.

Musical highlights at the Zeltpalast include the a capella formation BASTA and singer Marc Mashall, while star chef Alexander Herrmann proves how entertaining live cooking shows can be. And for sports fans, in addition to "Doppelpass on Tour" and Mario Basler's stage program, there will also be a Super Bowl Public Viewing.

However, award-winning magician Nicolai Friedrich will make the most guest appearances this season. The Tent Palace was, after all, originally conceived for his "magic up close" show. The aim was to ensure that no matter where you sit in the tent, you can be close to this special show and literally watch the magician at work. But this much can be revealed: No matter how close you get to the magician, no one will be able to disenchant his tricks. Instead, there will once again be plenty to amaze and amuse the audience when Nicolai Friedrich whisks them away into a particularly magical world. And no matter whether things magically disappear or merge, or whether Nicolai Friedrich demonstrates his skills as a mental magician, you're guaranteed to hear an astonished, "How does he do that?" again and again this season. For the new season, Friedrich has reworked the show a bit, which thrilled around 14,000 people during the first season two years ago. He'll forgo unnecessary walks into the audience this time around. Nevertheless, he promises close-up magic of the highest order: "The hygiene concept here is so good that we can justify it," says Nicolai Friedrich. He hopes that it will now be possible to take away people's fear of attending an event like his show and the other events at the Zeltpalast.

A really colourful bouquet of events has been put together at the Zeltpalast until March 2022, which can be experienced in an intimate, pleasant atmosphere. There is sure to be an event to suit you. Look HERE and get your tickets! By the way, this special location can also be booked for corporate events. Info on that is available HERE.
