Whether in search of fine, last-minute gifts for neighbours, acquaintances and friends or to have a relaxed breakfast with your girlfriend on the first day off before Christmas: the delicious pages of our city offer something for every taste.
A French colleague was handing out chocolates with green pepper last week and raved about Michi's Schokoatelier in the Nordend. In no time at all it was all eaten! Since I had a date with two friends on the weekend, I stopped by the chocolatier on my way home to pick up two delicious gifts: it's a small, friendly shop that invites you to linger with its mocha-brown floor, so I really like it. I've already told you about my Japanese friend, who unfortunately lives back home in Yokohama. We always liked to stroll to the "Iimori" near the Paulskirche: Japanese flair mixed with the Asian love for everything French. When I go there now, I rarely leave the café without a lemon tart. And one of my Twitter friends just whispered to me that the breakfast, with its green tea rolls and croissants, is also a stunner. Bon appetit!
