"My Frankfurt Roots" subtitled " an unfinished family history" questions the author's origins or ancestry, which were hushed up in the family during his lifetime.

After her elementary school years in Hersfeld, Grandma Anna had joined one of Frankfurt's wealthiest families, brewery owner Carl Friedrich Henrich, as a housemaid at the age of about 14, probably in 1887.

In his rather difficult marriage, the eldest surviving son of the family, Rudolph Henrich, got pregnant at the age of ca. 38 years of age, Grandma Anna, who was then 35 years old and had already been employed in the family for 21 years and had worked her way up from housemaid to the main force in the house.

Grandma Anna was then complimented out of the house and illegitimate son Rudolf Schneider was born in February 1909.

Rudolph Henrich was not only grandfather of the author Rudolf K. Wagner but also grandfather of the honorary citizen of the city of Frankfurt, Bruno H. Schubert ( 1919-2010), who died at the age of 90 in October 2010.

To ask questions in time, when parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents were still alive, the author also failed. That is why it has remained an unfinished family history with many "white" gaps. But it is an attempt to re-establish identities and to show their circumstances.

The richly illustrated book is self-published.

Interested parties can purchase the book in bookstores, via Amazon or directly from the author against prepayment at the price of Euro 16,50.
