Movie: For 18 months, lawyer Claudia Moreno (Natalie Madueño) sat behind bars for her involvement in the illegal dealings of energy company Evergreen. Now she hopes for a fresh start - if only to be able to visit her son. But Mads Justesen (Thomas Bo Larsen) and his colleague Alf (Thomas Hwan) from the white-collar police immediately follow Claudia's heels again, hoping to find Evergreen CEO Alexander Sødergren, who has disappeared without a trace (unlike the viewer, not knowing what happened to him). They also hope Claudia will lead them to clues they can use to finally put Knud Christensen (Libra Sandø) away. The investigators are so focused on this that the case of a carpenter whose small business has been bankrupted by his bank doesn't really seem urgent to them. But then the events come to a head and Mads and Alf are suddenly on the trail of a huge web of intrigue and illegal machinations, in which not only Claudia is involved, but also the two small-time crooks Nicky (Esben Smed Jensen) and Bimse (Lucas Hansen), who had just pulled their heads out of the noose. But it is now tightening tighter and tighter.

Follow the Money goes into another very exciting second round. In ten new episodes, the creators of the series prove again how exciting white-collar crime can be. The story may sound a bit contrived at first glance. But even if some clichés are served here, the script also squints again and again on incidents that have happened so or so similar unfortunately quite. This is of course exaggerated at the end, but is also anchored in reality, which makes the various plot lines ultimately so exciting.

You are as a viewer but also so captivated because the characters appeal to you. The creators have created multi-layered characters who not infrequently balance on a moral edge. There are no shining heroes, but people who are put into situations where they have to do things that are generally considered morally reprehensible for quite understandable reasons. Of course, there are the very obvious villains, but on the whole, the makers of the series skillfully blur the lines between good and evil, between right and wrong again and again.

Follow the Money is cleverly constructed, atmospherically tightly staged and very well-acted crime entertainment that proves that it doesn't take a lot of action or bloody murders to create real suspense. For this, the second round clearly gets a: Absolutely worth seeing!

Picture + Sound: As with season 1, the picture and sound quality leave a very good impression for a TV series. The coloring is able to capture the different moods of each storyline very well. The image sharpness is on an absolutely decent TV level. Even in gloomy scenes, many details come to the fore very well. The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is also pleasantly atmospheric, with voices sounding very directional but powerfully mixed. Ambient noises, as well as smaller sound effects, keep the surround channels getting something to do as well. Good!

Extras: Bonus material has the DVD box unfortunately not to offer.

Conclusion: Follow the Money proves again in the second season, how exciting white-collar crime can be. Interesting characters, cleverly interwoven plot lines make the ten episodes rousing thriller entertainment at its best. The technical realization of season 2 is again on a good level, but there is no bonus material. Despite this shortcoming is quite clear: Absolutely recommendable!
