Content: Finally it is here, the world's first live DVD of Helge Schneider! On "Komm hier haste ne Mark!", recorded at Berlin's Admiralspalast, the camera captured what makes a Helge performance so special. There is no typical stand-up comedy here. Instead, the multi-talent from Mülheim an der Ruhr presents a curious mixture of improvisational comedy, jazz concert, parodies and relaxed tea time. Helge tells about people who are so famous that no one knows their name, reveals the airs and graces of Christina Aguilera, who surprisingly gets upset when people just cheerfully put their hands up her skirt, or proves while singing the blues in English that he is at least as international as Sarah Connor.

Of course, the parodies, which he sometimes more, sometimes less recognizable to the best. At "Fitze Fatze" Joe Cocker and Nena drop by (Helge could have done Gus Bacus, too, but nobody knows him anymore), and at the big finale Herbert Grönemeyer, Udo Lindenberg and of course Peter Maffay do the honours. And when Helge, who is successful as an actor, director, writer and singer, is not demonstrating his musical skills on one of the numerous instruments, he is sometimes served a cup of tea on stage by the stage butler Bodo.

In just under 90 minutes, well organized chaos, bizarre comedy at its best and a musical foray through the various styles, from French chanson to American blues, Spanish flamenco, German Schlager and of course jazz, emerge on the small, rather simply lit stage. Its improvised character also shines through again and again in the live performances of the "singing Herrentorte" and makes Helge Schneider's shows always unique in their own special way. And that's exactly why this DVD can be recommended to every fan, even if you have already witnessed quite a few of Schneider's performances yourself.

Picture + Sound: Since the final product was not available for the test, no rating can be given about the technical implementation of the disc. Overall, however, it can probably be assumed for the commercially available DVD that the picture is overall rather dark according to the stage design and that the sound has captured the live atmosphere well.

Extras: A total of four bonus numbers with a running time of just under 25 minutes are still included as an add-on on the DVD. Highlight of the extras is a very amusing version of the Helge classic "Es gibt Reis, Baby", a visit from the "Rache-Hu0022 or a trip with Helge to the disco. For fans a nice encore!

Conclusion: For a long time fans had to wait, but with "Komm hier haste ne Mark!" finally comes the first live DVD of Helge Schneider in the stores. And this recording offers fans exactly what they have come to expect from their Helge: weird comedy, jazzy musical interludes and well thought-out chaos make this DVD a treat for all fans!
