The novelist was awarded the European Crime Prize in 2015 and is one of the most successful crime writers of our time. The main roles are spoken by acting and TV stars Justus von Dohnányi, Denis Moschitto, Carolin Kebekus and Matthias Koeberlin in a supporting role. To convey her physical and emotional pain only through my voice was an insane challenge. Merete is an incredibly strong and exciting character, giving me the opportunity to step into a completely new and unfamiliar role for once."

On March 2, 2002, a woman disappears without a trace on the ferry from Rødby to Puttgarden, death by drowning is suspected.
