Content: Did they or didn't they? When Will (Eric McCormack) and his best friend Jack (Sean Hayes) wake up together in a bed on the luxury yacht after a wild night from the season five finale, it's feared they've crossed a line that could change their friendship forever. Fortunately, the mystery of what happened that night quickly unravels - but that doesn't mean things go quiet in the lives of Will, Grace (Debra Messing), Jack and Karen (Megan Mullally). Grace has grave doubts about her husband Leo's (Harry Connick Jr.) fidelity until he reveals to her the ultimate proof of love: He leaves Doctors Without Borders to stay with Grace in New York. But can he really be happy with that?

While Grace has settled down with Leo, the others are still blithely spinning the relationship merry-go-round. But Cupid seems to strike with them, too, when Karen meets Lyle (John Cleese), a Brit who lights the fire in her that seemed to be extinguished since Stan's death. And Jack also finds his first steady boyfriend in Stuart (Dave Foley), with whom he even wants to move in together. And Will, too, finally finds a man he can imagine a future with in police officer Vince (Bobby Cannavale). But will Grace like him? Will the friends finally be happy now? Will their new relationships get them over the fact that all their favorite shows are cancelled? Will Karen actually get married again? And will Jack go on tour as a dancer with Jennifer Lopez, or will he become a nurse after all?

These are just some of the questions that will be answered in the sixth season of cult series Will & Grace. This time the troupe gets support from, among others, Jack Black as a not very trustworthy doctor, Jennifer Lopez as herself, John Cleese as the new man at Karen's side or even Geena Davis as Grace's sister. The fact that not only the episodes cast with celebrity guests, but nearly every episode of this season is tremendously fun to watch even 13 years after its initial airing is a testament to the timelessness of this multiple award-winning sitcom. Sure, here too, as in previous seasons, you can see some elements that the ravages of time have not passed without a trace. But overall, this cult series is just plain funny and tremendously charming in its play on common clichés.

Will & Grace is wonderful TV entertainment for all lovers of classic sitcom fare. Sassy, endearing, and just plain funny. If you already liked the first seasons, you can safely grab this one too. And since season 7 is already announced, the wait for the next episodes is not too long after the dramatic season ending around the relationship of Grace and Leo. Absolutely worth watching!

Picture + Sound: Here and there the picture looks a little washed out and a slight dragging effect can be detected during some faster camera pans. Minor smudges aside, the picture is very clean, the overall sharpness is at a good level for a TV sitcom that is over twelve years old, and the colouring is also convincing, especially in the brighter moments. The Dolby Digital 2.0 mix is also decently mixed, with the very directional mixed dialogue predominating the proceedings.

Extras: As a bonus, the fourth DVD features some very amusing outtakes (approx. 8 min.).

Conclusion: After the long wait for the DVD release of further seasons of the cult sitcom Will & Grace after season 3, Koch Media has fortunately stepped up a gear since season 4. So now season 6 is also available - and this one also shows how well the sitcom still works after more than twelve years. Some very amusing episodes and prominent guest stars such as Monty Python star John Cleese or Jennifer Lopez make this box again a must for all fans. The picture and sound quality are absolutely satisfactory for an older comedy series, and the funny outtakes in the extras ensure a good mood. Therefore, again quite clearly: absolutely recommendable!
