Film: After the success of "Willkommen bei den Sch`tis" or "Der kleine Nick" many older works with the actor Kad Merad are now also released in Germany. For example, the DVD premiere "(Welt)All Inklusive" dates back to 2006, but after a five-year wait, German viewers can finally immerse themselves in a world where sheep fly helicopters and a killer turkey acts as an "Alien"homage.

In the year 2030, a space captain faces his greatest mission yet. But before he heads into space, he tells a reporter how it all started for him. The year was 2005: France was groaning under financial crises and the population wondered why the state was still pouring incredible amounts of money into space exploration in such hard times. So, in order to improve their reputation, a big publicity campaign is carried out. Everyone can buy a lottery ticket for 2 Euros, which guarantees the winner a trip into space. The unsuccessful actor Stephane Cardoux (Kad Merad) is one of the two chosen and hopes to win the respect of his young son in particular. But Commander Beaulieu (Olivier Baroux) thinks Stephane is the wrong candidate and prefers to choose young Yonis (Guillaume Canet). But Cardoux doesn't give in so easily and actually makes it aboard the space shuttle. But he has no idea of the adventure that awaits him.

"(World)All Inclusive" is of its humor entirely on the in France very popular leading duo Kad (Merad) & Olivier (Baroux), who last worked together successfully on "Fasting in Italian" - Merad in front of the camera and Baroux behind it. So it's no wonder that the comedic chemistry between the two is perfect and their scenes together in particular are among the film's most amusing moments. Numerous allusions to genre representatives such as "2001", "Alien" or "Armageddon" also provide some very good laughs.

However, not every gag works. At many points in the action just too exaggerated and just silly, which dulls the overall impression but a little. True, even the silliness is presented with plenty of charm, so it's easy to forgive the creators for their comedic missteps. However, director Eric Lartigau squanders the opportunity to turn his space movie parsiflage into the gag fireworks the material would have had the potential to be. The actors are in a good mood and since the film has some really nice laughs to offer, "(World)All Inclusive" can be recommended to all lovers of the more over-the-top French humor.

Picture + Sound: Since only a data-reduced press sample was available for testing, unfortunately, no judgment can be made about the technical implementation at this point.

Extras: Unfortunately, this DVD premiere has no bonus material on board. Too bad!

Conclusion: "(World)All Inclusive" is a somewhat over-the-top comedy, which, however, has quite a few good laughs to offer and can come up with a cast duo, where the comedic chemistry is just right. Even if the whole thing is just too silly at times, this DVD premiere is still enough fun on balance to earn a "Recommendable"!
