For the 17th time, Frankfurt's Höchst district will be transformed into a place for creative minds on July 2 as part of the Höchster Designparcours: visitors can look forward to old familiar as well as new spaces and creative minds. As a special highlight, the Höchster Designparcours celebrates its round birthday this year and entices visitors with an interactive raffle.
In 2012, Frankfurt's vacancy agency Radar and Projektstadt, as the city's district management, came together for the first time as part of the Innenstadt Höchst development program to venture the experiment of a new form of vacancy use on behalf of the city's planning department and with the support of the Frankfurt Economic Development Corporation: Vacant rooms were rented to make them available to tradespeople from the creative industries for a weekend. Since then, the Höchster Designparcours has undergone major changes. New impulses have been set again and again, for example with the introduction of the Höchster Designpreis, which has been awarded once a year by an independent jury since 2015.
For its tenth anniversary, the Parcours 2022 will again take place in a special format: On the one hand, vacant or otherwise inaccessible spaces will be played, but, as in 2021, Höchst courtyards and gardens will also be used - especially those with historical significance or interesting uses, such as the Bolongarogarten or the parish garden at the Justinuskirche. In addition, there are activities by creative people who are permanent residents of Höchst. Some of them have come up with special offers for the Design Parcours.
All in all, the Höchst Design Parcours 2022 will once again offer a unique overview of the region's creative scene. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to creative people, learn about new products and (re)discover Höchst. All visitors are invited to collect stickers at ten stations of their choice during the trail and enter a raffle. There are shopping vouchers worth 50 euros to be won, each of which can be redeemed at one of the exhibitors.
On the occasion of the anniversary, all those who hand in a completed participation card will also be rewarded with a small gift. On the first Saturday in July, the Höchst Design Parcours will once again be held at the same time as the popular Höchst Castle Festival and the Old Town Festival of Associations with its knights' camp and artists' market. To find the festival activities this year are mainly in the Brüningpark and on the Mainufer.
The 17th Höchster Designparcours takes place on Saturday, July 2, from 12 to 20 clock. The award ceremony of the Höchster Designpreis will take place from 15 clock.
