The street in modern cities is a place for encounters and events. A place to hear different voices and meet new people. The street is also the place where two refugees, an Iranian musician and a Syrian dancer, meet. In the beginning, the encounter is marked by a lot of prejudice and mistrust. Through long conversations and making music and dancing together, the views, experiences and fears of the protagonists reveal themselves, a kind of intimacy develops between them. One expects the encounter to lead to love, but in the end, a surprising turning point occurs. The play reflects experienced facets of love, politics, longing and loneliness of the protagonists.
The play is written and directed by Frankfurt-based author and director Dr. Ferestheh Vaziri Nasab. It will be performed in German.
