On a stage in the city centre a hypnotist stands in front of his audience. The show is just getting out of hand. Which may be because he's forgotten all his tricks for three months. That's when a volunteer enters the stage. It's the father of the girl the hypnotist ran over three months ago. An accident, no one to blame. But ever since she died, the father has been revisiting the scene of the accident. He thinks he can sense his daughter there. To him, she lives on in a tree. Now he's here. He feels like he's in a play he doesn't know the lines to. And he hopes the hypnotist can help him.
