When the Saviour speaks, the disciples shut their mouths: this is how it must have looked to the audience when Klaus Kinski entered the stage in 1971 with his Messiah monologue. But then everything turned out differently. Disturbed by hecklers to protesters who stepped on stage to speak out against "Messiah" Kinski, the master lost his patience several times, insulted his audience and thundered off stage in a rage. But what exactly is in "Jesus Christ Redeemer"? What is the original text? That's the question actor and director of Theater Alte Brücke Alexander J. Beck explores this evening. Because when he dealt with the text, he noticed what topicality is in this now almost 45 year old document. In addition, there are original excerpts and quotes from Kinski to analyse whether he really thought he was the Messiah - or whether we were simply being left an updated version of the New Testament. An exciting, informative, but also amusing evening not to be missed!
